Amsterdam City Trip – outfit & activities

This september we are doing a Eurotour! We will be visiting many European destinations on our road trip. To kick off this Eurotrip we start with a city close to home: Amsterdam

Amsterdam is vibrant and historic. Although, the city is crammed and hardly accessible with a car it is a must see for anyone who travels to the Netherlands. Amsterdam is simply iconic.

For my outfit I chose something simple yet feminine. The pink skirt with build in short added a girly touch. The wrap detail of my top was feminine and these Stuart Weitzman boots are made for walking.

I matched my shoes to my Louis Vuitton Alma bb bag because the brown Colors go so well together. You can read here my review of the Louis Vuitton and if I think the Alma bb is worth the money.

We parked our car at the Amsterdam Q-Park Centraal station. This is a spacious garage in the city centre next to the train station. We made a reservation online before hand and only paid 33 euros for a full day of parking. Believe me, that is really affordable for parking in Amsterdam’s city centre. From here, we took a canal cruise. The cruise we took is right next to our car park in the city. We had a lovely guided canal tour with Lovers Cruises. We planned a cruise of one hour to see some highlights. We saw many historical buildings, famous canals, such as the Herengracht, the seven canal bridges and the crazy jack clock.

The cruise was ideal to enjoy the Amsterdam scenery and to get a feel what the history of the city is about. It also gave us ideas for spots to visit after the cruise.

From here, we walked through the busy city centre streets to the Dam. The Dam is one of Amsterdam’s most famous landmarks featuring the Palace and New Church. There are so many shops here.

Onwards, we walked further through the city centre to the nine streets and flower market. On our way, we passed another landmark till we reached the destination of our next activity.

ICE ICE baby in the Ice Bar! We wanted to do something fun and unique, so we booked the Ice Bar experience. Here everything, including the cups, are made from ice and it is a real cool experience. 😉

This was our day in Amsterdam! What would you do in Amsterdam?

xoxo Brenda
