Those who love Chanel perfume know the Chanel DNA. Chanel perfumes are classic, sophisticated and they all have that remarkable scent profile. You either love it or hate it, but there is no denying Chanel smells like it was made for a lady.
My dear mother gifted me the Chanel Coco Noir eau de parfum today. A beautiful gem to add to my collection! I also own Chanel no 5 and Coco Mademoiselle. I love all of them, and in today’s review of Chanel Coco Noir edp I will also give my opinion on the Chanel perfumes in comparison to each other.
Chanel Coco Noir opens fruity and fizzy. She smells glamorous and exciting. This perfume is feminine and sensual, with just the right amount of class. Perfect for a lady who is ready for a party. She is confident, without asking for attention. Nevertheless, all eyes are on her. Very suitable for a coquette.
The heart opens next with that recognisable Chanel DNA. A beautiful rose and that powdery soap reveal itself. Jasmine and Narcissus make Coco Noir smell deep and sensual, opposed to flat and naive. She definitely smells genuinely floral, without being too sweet.
The gorgeous dry down of Chanel Coco Noir brings out the patchouli and chypre. To me, this smells very feminine, but a little more mature than the opening. Here vanilla, tonka-bean and musk come out to play. I love the notes of Benzoin and Olibanum, because it makes Chanel Coco Noir smell interesting. The blend is perfect. Everything just works in this fragrance.
I absolutely love Chanel Coco Noir. She contains all my favorite notes: the rose, jasmine, vanilla and musk. And she smells exciting. She is the life of the party. She is sophisticated and she knows how to enjoy the pleasures of life.

Her longevity and sillage on me are amazing, as are all other Chanel perfumes I have tried.

In comparison to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum:
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is a beautiful perfume. A true classic. I once heard someone refer to hear as the rich b*tch from the 2000s. I agree, she smells lovely and lush. Chanel Coco Noir smells deeper and more sensual with sophistication. Coco Mademoiselle is the good rule abiding sister, while Coco Noir is the life of the party. Both are sophisticated and are clearly from the same family. However, Coco Mademoiselle initially attracts attention with her innocent beauty, while Coco Noir attracts and holds attention with her radiating excitement. Coco Noir has all eyes on her, she is naturally charismatic. Both are perfect in their own way though!
In comparison to Chanel no 5 eau de parfum:
Chanel no 5 is my wedding perfume. I love her airy scent of soap, powder and aldehydes. She is a piece of perfume history. She is iconic. She smells extremely feminine and classy. She is a romantic and a lucky girl. Chanel Coco Noir shares that same Chanel DNA, but is distinctly different. Chanel no 5 smells like an ethereal angel, while Coco Noir smells as a beautiful woman full of life and excitement. Both are perfect in their own way, but they are for different moods.
Now, I cannot wait to try more Chanel perfumes in the future. Chanel holds a special place in my heart forever.
Have a lovely week, gorgeous!
