Review: Estee Lauder lipstick Envy Matte 211 Aloof

It has been a hot minute since I last shared my opinions about a makeup product. Cosmetics will always spark my interest as makeup is a big creative outlet for me. So today I have the pleasure of sharing all the ins and outs of the Estee Lauder lipsticks. A true gem in the luxury lipstick category, if you ask me.

This is actually the first time I tried one of Estee Lauders lipsticks. So I decided to go for a matte finish lipstick, with a fun pink color. I feel like pink lipstick really brightens up my face and flatters my look. I find these hues of neutrals, nudes, pinks and reds very elegant and classy. I am a huge fan of Estee Lauder’s Double Wear stay-in-place foundation (the only foundation I have repurchased multiple times), the mattifier primer, skincare and of course the cult favourite Advanced Night Repair serum. Estee Lauder just makes great cosmetics, that do feel luxurious.

The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte in shade 211 Aloof comes in a luxurious packaging. The carton box is sealed with a plastic film, very good from a hygienic perspective. And the lipstick case is quite heavy. I like the dark blue and the gold. This lipstick packaging is timeless, good quality and really feels luxurious. The color I chose is this raspberry pink. It is brighter than I expected, but I still like the shade. This is not a lipstick for serious occasions, but perfect for your days off or parties. Due to the cool tone of this lipstick I expect it looks the best on cool and neutral skin tones. I am a winter color type myself, so cooler tones do look best on me too.

The quality of the lipstick itself is amazing. The lipstick is very smooth, with impeccable color payoff. You really only need 1 thick swipe for a fully opaque color on the lips. I love how the lipstick feels quite stiff and sturdy but not in any means dry. It feels like butter, without the slippery. The lipstick lasts a couple hours, as expected with a matte lipstick. The quality is really perfect. I did not even need a lipliner.

Would you wear this color? Xoxo Brenda
