Summer has arrived here in Europe! Temperatures are rising up to 30 degrees Celsius, leaving us citizen beaming in the sun. There is not much that beats the European summer, since the temperature is warm but not uncomfortably warm, travel to scenic locations is all within hand reach and all the sparkling cultures add some personality to our favorite locations. I have seen many places in Europe, however, with so many possibilities there are still some gems on my dreamy holiday list for this summer.
Amalfi Coast – Italy
The Amalfi Coast in the South of Italy is the stuff of dreams. Dreamy architecture surrounded by marvelous nature. Italy is known for its fabulous pasta, wine and exquisite cuisine, the Amalfi Coast is rumored to have all the best of Italy. This seems like the dreamiest holiday destination for a romantic getaway. I would love to walk the Path of Gods, take a boat to the Blue Cave, admire the Vesuvius volcano and visit the Cinque Terre.
Santorini – Greece
From one dreamy destination to the next: Santorini. Greece is known for her beautiful islands. I would love to visit Mykonos too, but something about Santorini speaks to me with great charm. The white and blue houses are iconic and this island is well known as a love destination for couples. Santorini is an island of luxury, history, hiking, outdoor activities and lovely food. Can you already envision yourself here wearing a white flowy dress?
Ibiza – Spain
Hopping on to the next island: Ibiza. Many people have heard or been to Ibiza, it was the party destinations of the past century. You know might think, ah Ibiza and it’s forgotten glory, but Ibiza still has that special spark for a good time. Clubbing, food, culture and outdoor activities. Ibiza still has it.
St. Tropez – France
Next to Monte Carlo is the fabulous get-away of Saint Tropez! Yachts, luxury and everything fancy you will find here. Count me in!
